Bonjour!  Our library day was switched from today to Friday because of a presentation taking place in the learning commons.  Thank you for your understanding!

Happy March Break!

Wishing you all a wonderful March Break - enjoy the time together! No matter what your plans are for the vacation, don't forget to take pictures and bring them in to share with the class. We would love to create a class book of our vacations, or even inspire some authentic writing.

Winter Carnival - Friday March 13

This Friday, Kindergarten students will participate in Winter Carnival activities. Students will participate in a variety of fun, outdoor winter games for approximately 1 hour. The stations will be run by grade 6 students, and teachers will be supervising and assisting as needed. Since this will be an outdoor activity, we are asking parents to please send their child with two pairs of water proof mittens (please no wool or thin spring mitts) and an extra pair of socks. The weather is getting warmer and the snow is beginning to melt, which means wet, mushy snow! Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor play, as we will be outside for an extended period of time on Friday.

BONJOUR LES PARENTS!!!

Thank you to those who have already returned their "album de famille" presentations.  I can tell that everyone worked very hard on drawing some beautiful pictures!  We have started the presentations and will continue through March.  Great work and thank you for your support at home.

I would like to share with you some of my term two goals in French that you can support your child with at home.  We will continue to work on listening and understanding French when Mme Natalie is speaking and we will continue to encourage speaking and expanding our French vocabulary.  More specific goals will be to count to 30, recognize numbers in French to 10, colours in French, family members and shapes.  Following are some resources to help you support your child with these specific goals at home.

Winter Carnival update

Just a reminder that next week is our school's Winter Carnival Spirit Week. While kindergarten students are welcome to participate in all of the week's activities, the outdoor games that are being held for the whole school on Friday morning will not include kindergarten, however students are still welcome to wear their favourite sports jersey that day. We will have a special Winter Carnival Activity Day for them the following week. More details will follow closer to that date.
